Mary Did You Know

Lk 1:26-38ish Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God...
Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God...
For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”

May we always respond affirmatively with that kind of humility and committment to the Word when it is proclaimed by God in our own lives. I wonder how many times Jesus heard the story from his mom. Sounds a lot like the response He had in Gethsemane, doesn't it?

Song:Mary Did You Know

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
And this Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would calm a storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you've kissed your little Baby you've kissed the Face of God?

Mary did you know?

The Blind will See.
The Deaf will Hear.
The Dead will Live Again.
The Lame will Leap.
The Mute will Speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of All Creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day Rule the Nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is Heaven's Perfect Lamb?
And the sleeping Child you're holding is the Great I Am.
