Mt 2:7-8 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him."
It is ironic to me when even the "villains" of the Bible speak TRUTH without knowing it. Herod died without seeing Jesus. But his next sight will be not of a babe but of the King of Kings and the Lord of Angel Armies (Hosts). Herod WILL BOW along with every other earthly king, ruler, peasant before Jesus. The bowing before the infant in the manger is a picture of Revelation when Jesus is revealed to all flesh and EVERY knee will bow, EVERY tongue, even sly Herod's will confess Him Lord.
You don't have to wait until Christmas or until Jesus Second coming however to bow and confess, to know Him, and be known by Him as God with us. He came to the Manger AND to the Cross to offer YOU, US a way back to communion with God who created us for relationship with Himself. Bow before Him then get up and follow Him!
