Sat 7.31 SATISFY

Sat 7.31 SATISFY Psalm 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. 17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. This has been a long season of pruning for me. I can see so many places where God is trying to challenge me into obedience and fruitfulness. I can also see a hundred ways the enemy tries to drive a wedge between me and...well almost everybody! Add to this the uncomfortable work of pulling up my roots in CUMC and MB. That has consistently been the hardest part of this season=anticipating a permanent move and weaning myself from the activities and relationships in which I am planted. Most people don't seem to understand I am leaving. Perhaps because I'm the slowest leaver ever. But I am. I hope to be funded by the end of the year. I guess God knew how I would have grieved if it had happened too fast for me to say meaningful goodbyes. So it begins. Sometimes I feel I really will have to let go of everything but Jesus in order to be ready. The song "All I Have" says Jesus all I have is you You're the hope I'm holdin to As the Heavens hold the skies It's Your hand that holds my life. And Your love will lead me on when all else is gone. Let us pray that the reward in lives touched in France will be worth all of what is given up here. And selfishly may the link between us never be broken. Even when our very souls are satisfied in the presence of His glory at the end of days.

Fri 7.30 Blessing

Fri 7.30 Blessing Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. This song is a blessing for you. A beautiful text and spiritual prayer. I pray it for my loved ones and friends here and abroad often. Be it so! Thu 7.29 Rapture

Thu 7.29 Rapture The rain today was so ridiculously torrential that I seriously wondered if we were experiencing a sudden hurricane. Then a part of hopes and feared all at one that it COULD be the Rapture. Jesus could be returning I thought! :) I'm always torn between wishing He would come now and desperately hoping He will give the Church enough time to get her tail in gear and spread the Gospel to the four corners of the Earth! The storm is already over. The sun is shining again and I have been singing this song in the car all day. Our God by Chris Tomlin. Enjoy until France or the Rapture. Whichever comes first!

Tue 7.27 Sunrise

Tue 7.27 Sunrise 43 After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” 49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?” In another translation He says I must be about my Father's business. For the next 21 years while being obedient to His earthly parents Jesus began building relationships and modeling holy character. In the last 3 years of His life He made every encounter an opportunity to connect the other in a full-time relationship with the Father AND with others. At the well, even tho He was hot and thirsty. Tired after traveling. Trying to catch a nap in a boat. From sunrise to sunset He was available and active. Salvation is not a one time transaction which once completed leaves us free to enjoy the rest of our life. It is the beginning of a process and initiation into the family ad body of Jesus to do as He did and be permanently constantly about His Father's business. Is that the nature of your walk? Is that how you live Him out everyday? We may be the only example of godly character the people around us ever see. That's why I desire so strongly to minister in France!

Mon 7.26 SHOUT

Mon 7.26 SHOUT I love this passage from Luke 19 that challenges us to let our lives speak Jesus or the rocks with do it for us. This song expresses so well how we cannot hold it in when we truly are filled with Jesus peace and purpose. Hear His own words as He approached Jerusalem for the last time this side of heaven Luke19:36-41 As He went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. When He came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," He replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it. I know that when He gazes out over most of the world's cities He still weeps. I would like to do something about that with your help.

Sat 7.24 BORN

Sat 7.24 BORN John 3:3...3 Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” 4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” The song BORN AGAIN by the Newsboys perfectly depicts the change in us rebirth produces and the commitment it elicits. Imagine when all the nations have finally heard this truth and been introduced to Jesus. Or reintroduced-France.

Fri 7.23 COVER

Fri 7.23 Cover James 5:19 My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins. Your life matters. Your proximity, your relationship with Jesus matters. Not just for your sake but for the salvation of the hundreds of people you will affect for the Gospel in your lifetime. Positively or Negatively. Your Choice. As for me and my house we choose to serve the Lord by knowing Him and making Him known. Here. And in France.

Thu 7.22 CLOSER

Thu 7.22 CLOSER Remember how empty, hungry...thirsty you were before Jesus. Substitutes didn't satisfy. You had an emptiness that maybe you weren't sure how to fill until He poured out His love and keeps on pouring into your heart. James 4:8 Come near (close, closer) to God and he will come near to you. This song "Draw Me Close To You" is a prayer and worship all at once. If ever there were a "Modern Psalm" then surely this song is! To hear You say that I'm your friend You are my desire No one else will do Nothing else can take your place Help me find a way, Lord bring me back to You You're all I want You're all I've ever needed You're all I want Help me know You are near There is a nation of about 65 Million who share the emptiness that they don't know how to fill. There are so few Followers of Christ in the nation that most people die never even seeing Christ at work in the life of those who love Him. Would you pray about helping? Ricardo L. Walker 843.446.3348 walker.ricardo@gmail.com Missionary to France by God's grace with your help!

WED 7.21No Weapon

WED 7.21No Weapon 2Cor10:4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 3 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 [a]We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. 6 And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient. Is 54: 16 “I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. 17 But in that coming day No Weapon formed against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from ME. I, the Lord, have spoken! Today I have renewed faith and encouragement in how God has promised to never leave no forsake me while He uses the Church to complete His work. I pray that same for all of us! France, here we come!

Tue 7.20-Speechless

Tue 7.20-Speechless by Steven Curtis Chapman is a perfect expression of Ecclesiastes 5:2 Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. 3 As a dream comes when there are many cares, so the speech of a fool when there are many words. Some of the most powerful ways we can bring His Kingdom to others is thru our actions. Let your love speak louder than words to your coworkers, neighbors, friends and family. Let them be drawn to the Christ in you because of the integrity of your unspoken witness. And may the power of Christ that compels you leave them speechlessly in awe of the Father who loves them. Here. Wherever u r. In France. To the uttermost ends of the Earth.

Mon 7.19 OUR GOD

Mon 7.19 OUR GOD This song by Chris Tomlin is wrecking me. In the good way. It's helping me fight through some discouragement and trials. Mostly thoughts of loneliness, failure and fear that I will never achieve what I believe God has called me to do. I take comfort in this scripture so powerfully set to music in this song. Rm 8:31...If God is for us, who can be against us? 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I'm prayin especially for victory in getting into the foreign mission field. I am askin u to pray with me for some obstacles to be removed so that I might join the church plant underway in BRIE, France. Population 60,000. No congregation except our fledgling ministry to children and families planted in partnership by my organization United World Mission with France Mission. This is not a vacation resort town. It's a modern town full of families far from God who have never heard the Gospel Good News about how Jesus can save them eternally. Pray that I would be able to join the work soon. In order to MOVE there early in 2011, I would have to be fully funded by the end of 2010. That means people have to start to giving on a monthly basis now. Sat 7.17 MOVE

Sat 7.17 MOVE Mk 11:22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. FFH(Far From Home) has long been one of my favorite groups. This song is has been in my heart for years now. Faith can MOVE mountains. So I am askin u to pray with me for some obstacles to be removed so that I might join the church plant underway in BRIE, France. Population 60,000. Fri 7.16 BRIDE

Fri 7.16 BRIDE We are the BRIDE of Christ. Here is His promise to His BRIDE Isaiah 62:1 Because I love Zion, I will not keep still.Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent.I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her SALVATION BLAZES LIKE A BURNING TORCH. 2 The nations will see your righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by your glory. And you will be given a new name by the Lord 's own mouth. 3 The Lord will hold you in His hand for all to see— a splendid crown in the hand of God. 4 Never again will you be called "The Forsaken City" s or "The Desolate Land." Your new name will be "The City of God's Delight" and "The Bride of God," for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as His bride. 5 Your children will commit themselves to you, O Jerusalem, just as a young man commits himself to his bride. Then God will rejoice over you as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride." For many reasons God invokes the language of the marriage covenant to describe His relationship WITH us and faithfulness TO us. This chapter reads like a wedding vow by the most devoted bridegroom. I can't say I have attained that kind of faithfulness but I love the Bride of Christ like this. My heart leaps in agreement with seeing her beautified before the nations TO REFLECT JESUS GLORY without spot or wrinkle for all the nations to see. On every continent in every language. Even in France. "6 O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord . 7 Give the Lord no rest until He completes His work, until He makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth. 11 The L ord has sent this message to every land: "Tell the people of Israel, `Look, your Savior is coming. See, He brings His reward with Him as He comes.'" 12 They will be called "The Holy People" and "The People Redeemed by the L ord ."And Jerusalem will be known as "The Desirable Place" and "The City No Longer Forsaken." I learned this promise from a groom to his BRIDE for Brandon and Jill's wedding. Now hear it from Jesus to you.

Thu 7.15 WALLS

Thu 7.15 WALLS Over the last 3 weeks I had have received words and messages from 3 different people about the walls of Jericho, the obstacles keeping me from France, and how God wants to tear down some walls for me. TREBUCHET (from the French: trébuchet) is a siege engine that was employed in the Middle Ages either to smash masonry walls. For six days they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. 16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! 20 When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city. Will you pray with me for the destruction of obstacles and the clarity of vision when shared?

Wed 7.14 RECLAIM

I'm a big fan of God's restoring, healing, reclaiming nature. It's very hard for me to ever believe any person relationship is broken beyond repair. I have been reliving this scene from Blood Diamond for days. The "son" Dia has just been rescued out of a war zone by his father Solomon Vandy and by Leo DiCaprio. The son had been kidnapped and made to kill as a child soldier, drugged and pushed to do things that made him believe he could never return home. What Solomon says to Dia we should all hear god saying to us... Isaiah 49:15...Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! 16 See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands! Jesus hands, were pierced by nails, and are the record of His atonement to RECLAIM you and restore our relationship with the Father!

Tue 7.13 DAILY

Tue 7.13 DAILY Luke 9:23 "If anyone wants to become MY follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow ME. 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for MY sake will save it. 25 For what does it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? Today God reminded me that I have I have not been at ease in Him since early yesterday because I was not relying on Him but rather my own meager strength. I was grumpy at myself. So much so that I could've punched myself right in the face. Today I found myself again by surrendering my weakness to His strength. Prayin for my French family who have no strength to lean on and no one to rescue them from themselves.

Mon 7.12 HOLD 1Th5:17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not put out the Spirit's fire; 20 do not treat prophecies with contempt. 21 Test everything. Hold on to the good. 22 Avoid every kind of evil. 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.

Sun 7.11 Relationships

"like D & J, Nothing can separate us" I'm no expert at relationships. Just in this calendar year I have had complications in every relationship I cherish with immediate family and romantically. But in each one I have this thing I say... "Minimum 70 year commitment!" I figure if you still want out 70 years from now I'll be too old to be devastated. And you'll be to old to quit. :) In the words of today's sermon I have been left holding my end of a commitment in relationships it feels I'm in alone. My sis decided she didn't need a big brother for a few months. My twin didn't return my call on our birthday. My dad didn't pick up on Father's day. The girl I thought would say I do said she doesn't. 10yrs ago God used new relationships at CUMC to heal my relationally broken heart. I adopted a commitment to relationships based on that made by David and Jonathan when they made a covenant of friendship. The only other covenants biblically are between us and God or between husband and wife. I always end my emails "like D & J Nothing can separate us" This message is so clear and pierces deep! Sermon Sunday July 11 2010 http://www.christislove.org/podcasts/contemporary20100711.mp3?28e5bbf660cb545fc854f5c048c7be7c=6b94015166c7d9d45809ca1ce6868f0a

Sat 7.10 FIX

Sat 7.10 FIX FIX=to make fast, firm, or stable,to direct (the eyes, the attention, etc.) steadily: to attract and hold (the eye, the attention, etc.). Heb12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. I don't have more to say. This is how we get closer to God and become more like His Son by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hard to believe that less than 1% of 62,000,000+ French have set their hearts on Jesus. The need is so great. The laborers are so few.

Fri 7.9 Shining

Light Is SHINING From His Throne Light Reveals Infinite Love Brighter Than The Stars Grows Within Our Hearts 2Cor4:6 For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.

Thu 7.8 Intercede

Thu 7.8 Intercede Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, s 16 I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, 17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom s and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. s 19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms "Just as I am" by David Phelps The song is a song I pray often for myself and sometimes on behalf of others, praying that that would desire to reconnect with God!

Wed 7.7 FLAME

Wed 7.7 FLAME "Let worship be the fuel for mission's flame We're going with a passion for Your name We're going for we care about Your praise Send us out Let worship be the heart of mission's aim To see the nations recognise Your fame 'Til every tribe and tongue voices Your praise Send us out I've been asked if the real reason I'm goin to France is touristic. Brie, the town where United World Mission is planting has 60,000 with no congregation of believers before our effort. I liken the lack of the gospel there to the lack of food and clean water in Third World Nations like Haiti. Yes the French are well provisioned and healthy BUT my hearts weeps for a people who could live their WHOLE lives and never even MEET a follower of Christ. Who is sending gospel aid workers? Send ME! I wanna help take back a Nation of fiercely loyal and loving people with less than 1% evangelical believers.

Tue 7.6 OBSESSION

Tue 7.6 OBSESSION Psalm 27:4 The one thing I ask of the L ord — the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the L ord all the days of my life, delighting in the L ord 's perfections and meditating in his Temple. 5 For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. 6 Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me.At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the L ord with music. Magnificent Obsession is one of those songs I can hear everyday like it's the first time because the words are my heart. The Lord is everything I want to want! May He fix my heart on Him and never let go!

Mon 7.5 Vision Joel 2: ...The Lord says, "Turn to me now, while there is time.Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. 13 Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead."Return to the L ord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. Then...I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. 29 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike. 30 And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth

Sun 7.4 Freedom

Sun 7.4 Freedom Our Freedom while a free gift, cost the Giver everything. Jesus gave His life. The Father gave it back in a stunning move that opened the door for the same in you and in me. Our Freedom if free to receive but it will cause us to want to repay the giver by carrying out His commandments to love people into His Kingdom, making disciples of every nation tribe and tongue and teaching them to obey everything He commanded. Jesus said that we would do this when...WHEN, NOT if, HIS POWER comes upon us. So I pray our FREEDOM today would propel us to fulfill the Great Commission by fulfilling the Great Commandment! 1Jn 5:12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Jn 8:36"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

Sat 7.3 NEAR

Sat 7.3 NEAR James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double‑minded! This has been one of this weeks. And although I've been sick and had some weird car issues what concerns me is only how hard my relationships (personal and ministry) have been attacked. There is only one way to combat this kind of assault; get close to God and let Him fight for You. Makes me wonder how the lost make it thru this kind of week?!?

Fri 7.2 HidingPlace

Fri 7.2 HidingPlace Psalm 17 led me to this song. Ten Shekel Shirt sings called "Unashamed Love" because the Psalm echoes the lyric "You're callin me to lay aside the worries of my day, to quiet down my busy mind, & find a HIDING PLACE." I seriously have difficulty wasting time worrying now because by the time I work up the proper amount of anxiety about "it" God has already begun to work "it" out! Worry is seriously a waste of time. So I jut run hide in Him and let His peace shelter me and let Him deal with "it." So even tho the enemy has been busy this week I say what David said... Ps17 I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. Protect me from wicked people....They are like hungry lions, eager to tear me apart— like young lions hiding in ambush.... I will see You. When I awake, I will see You face to face and be satisfied.

Thu 7.1 INSIDE

Thu 7.1 INSIDE John14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. From the INSIDE out. From in you outward to outside of you. This song always takes me back to Byron Keith's "Dear Jesus" and how we invite Jesus in but try to keep Him out of certain "rooms" in our spiritual "house." Either He will be Master of your house or He can't truly be said to live there and be at Home? How long could you live in a house with a padlock on the door of one or five rooms? Would you feel "at home?" Have you rented Jesus a room, leased the place to Him temporarily, or have you deeded your heart over to Him and handed Him all of the keys. I am Convinced that the only part of me that will stand in His presence will be what I have surrendered to Him for transformation. The rest will be burned away with Holy Fire. Lord, may we count you gain enough to lose our very selves, to find ourselves in You, in us.
