Wed 11.3 You Never Let Go
Request:For Kara Gowan
Job 1:20-22
Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head.
Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised.”
In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
Job 13:15
Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him
Psalm 27:13-14
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Luke 5:12-13
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
2 Cor 12:7-10
...I was given a thorn in my flesh,...Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But HE said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for MY power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Ricardo 39:1 When I am weak...HE IS Strong. For HIS GLORY!
God doesn't always heal. But He still does. God allows suffering on a small scale sometimes and even tragedy sometimes and sometimes rescues us from it.
Your prescription is not the same as mine and is often not what you want but it is always what will keep you close to and dependent on Him.
Pray for Vivien, Mike and Julie Clardy's precious baby who I believe God wants to heal and make a testament to Life...which is what her name means!
Pray for folks like Kara who live thru illness with more JOY than some who live joylesly in perfect health.
Pray for my friend Jess Sagun who has endured physical pain and anguish longer than most of us could.
May Jesus be peace, strength and healing.

Tue 11.2 My Jesus I Love Thee
“We love Him because He first loved us.”
1 John 4:19
The lives of most people are not captured in the history books.
Memories are left to the hearts and minds of family and friends,
and then all too soon fade into the tapestry of times past.
And so it was with William Ralph Featherson.
He was born without fanfare on July 24, 1846, in Montreal Canada, and he died in the same city, just before his 27th birthday.
Little else is known of his short life except for the fact that some time during his 16th year of life William put pen to paper to record a love poem.
The love he expressed was deep and true.
The words of that poem have lasted more than a century beyond Featherson's life and death.
In 1876, three years after Featherson's passing, Adoniram Gordon put music to this love poem and added it to a hymnal which was published that same year.
My Jesus, I Love Thee
My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine;
For Thee all the follies of sin I resign.
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.
I love Thee because Thou has first loved me
And purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree.
I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.
In Mansions of glory and endless delight,
I'll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;
I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

Mon 11.1 Shout To The Lord
Isaiah 44:23
Sing for joy, you heavens,...
shout aloud, you earth beneath.
Burst into song, you mountains,
you forests and all your trees,
Song:Shout to the Lord
The modern Psalmist literally lifted some of the lyrics for this song from the Scriptures. Isn't it profound to glimpse the fringe of the truth that all of creation is testifying to God's Glory and literally...LITERALLY singing His praises!
And YET we have more reason to sing, than even the angels who bask in His presence day and night...
God orchestrated a master plan
to redeem us from Death and Hell
because of His great love for US!
When every moment is anchored by gratitude and awe
at the kind of love that God embodies
then transformation occurs in hearts, lives, communities...
Yes Cities! And even Nations!
LORD, LET YOUR KINGDOM COME ON EARTH!
Sing for joy, you heavens,...
